Position Summary

The Capreol Nurse Practitioner Led Clinic (CNPLC) provides health services to the residents of Capreol and surrounding area. The Medical Secretary performs reception & switchboard duties along with administrative tasks that support clinic confidentiality, functional scheduling, patient flow and the accuracy of patient information stored internally and sent externally.

Key Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a related field such as business administration and/or Completion of an accredited Medical Secretary Course.
  • Proficiency in computer applications: EMR, Windows, Microsoft Office.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience in working within an interdisciplinary team environment
  • Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively and be flexible in a very active work environment
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
  • Ability to speak fluently in English is required.
  • Ability to speak French is an asset.
  • Ability to work flexible work hours. Some evening work is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a medical secretary.

Position Summary

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide primary care to residents of Capreol and surrounding area. The NP will work within their scope with a focus on health promotion, disease prevention and education. The NP will promote client autonomy and will provide care in the clinic, in client’s home or in the community as needed.

Key Qualifications

  • Current registration in the Extended Class with College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Bachelor of Nursing Science Degree (Master’s degree is an asset)
  • Advanced health assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills
  • Proficiency in use of computer including email and electronic medical records
  • Minimum of two years of Primary Care experience.
  • Ability to travel within Greater Sudbury
  • Current Ontario Driver’s License and insurance.
  • Ability to work flexible work hours. Some evening work and home visits are required.
  • Excellent Communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Possess strong time management skills
  • CPIC required
